Trading terms conditions


1. Prices

All prices quoted are in Australian dollars and are GST inclusive unless otherwise stated. All prices are subject to change without notice.

2. Handling fees

A handling fee of A$7.50 per order is applied to all orders of less than $500.

3. Freight and delivery

Wiley deliveries within Australia are made via Australia Post e-parcel service. No extra freight charges other than the $7.50 handling fee mentioned above are charged. Orders are dispatched from the Wiley Distribution Centre in Brisbane and delivery times vary from approximately 2 to 8 days from despatch date depending on the destination.

Deliveries to overseas destinations are made via Australia Post Air mail service and are subject to a freight charge in addition to the above handling fee. The amount of freight charged is calculated on the weight of the consignment and the country it is being delivered to. Delivery time is approximately 3 to 14 days depending on the destination. Overseas deliveries may also attract a local customs charge, levy or other taxes upon entry into your country. John Wiley & Sons Australia is not responsible for these charges. These parcels cannot be tracked and John Wiley & Sons Australia is not responsible if the parcel is lost in transit.

Customer orders placed with Wiley are processed overnight and, are mostly dispatched the following business day.

Delivery times for all services are not within the control of Wiley. Where possible, links to carrier track and trace Web sites are provided from Wiley's own Web sites. Any third party Web sites that may be accessed through Wiley's Web site are the sole responsibility of the third party who is hosting the Web site. Wiley makes no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any information not within its control.

4. E-book format and restrictions

Wiley supplies e-books with certain rights restrictions and in file formats which are only able to be accessed and read with certain software. E-books are non-refundable except in certain limited circumstances under the Australian Consumer Law, so in continuing with any e-book purchase you agree that you are aware of and accept these restrictions and requirements, as set out in the Ebook Help section of the Website.

5. Backorders for out of stock items

Where the item ordered is not in stock an option to either record a backorder or cancel the order is given. Your credit card will not be charged for the out of stock item until stock becomes available and the item shipped to you. You will not be charged an additional $7.50 handling fee when the item is supplied.

6. Returns and claims

Please choose carefully, Wiley does not give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong selection. Where goods are faulty or damaged, incorrectly supplied, wrongly described, are not of merchantable quality or are not fit for their intended purpose you may choose between a refund, exchange or credit. Incorrectly supplied and wrongly described physical product must be received at Wiley's Australian Distribution Centre in an unused condition. All returns of this nature must be pre-authorised by Wiley's Customer Service Department.
